El Reg reports AOL ditches newsgroups:
No offense to those two or three AOLers I know who didn't actually pollute the Internet.
AOL is pulling the plug on servers hosting newsgroups. AOL subscribers will no longer be able to access such groups directly but will have to go through Google.Now they pull newsgroups? Now, after polluting the Internet for eleven years?
