Adventures in Surreality
We were at Häagen-Dazs tonight getting a little dessert after a nice Mexican dinner. Häagen-Dazs offers a 20% discount upon presentation of a AAA card. Apparently other membership cards are also accepted, as this dialogue demonstrates:
Me: Here's my AAA card.
Häagen-Dazs girl: Okay, AA discount.
Me: Triple-A, not AA.
HDg: Oh, you don't look that old, how old are you? (said smiling, not rudely)
Me: ...
HDg: Don't you have to be some age to join that?
Me: Triple-A, not AARP.
