Project Insomnia

Project Insomnia is many things, but in this context it is simply a "braindump" of whatever I happen to be thinking/reading/watching/doing at the moment. Parental guidance suggested.

When "Don't Stop" should just be "Stop"

So I haven't ever watched The Sopranos, I don't have HBO and really wasn't interested. But like everyone else, I saw the last minute of the last episode repeated over and over and it made me remember how much I liked Journey.

What.

Quiet, you.

Anyway, so I figured, hmm, I wonder if they're still around. Could be fun to go see them live. The Google pointed me to JourneyMusic.com (warning: Flash, audio) and I poked around there for a few minutes before realizing that Steve Perry is no longer with Journey, and in fact hasn't been since 1997 (though I was kind of surprised to read that they were a going concern in '97). Since then they've gone through a couple of lead singers and are touring with Def Leppard.

Guys. I think it's time to shut it down. Really. When the singer who made your songs memorable is no longer singing them, that kind of removes the reason for the rest of the band to go on.
