Chocolate Glaze
I probably use the chocolate glaze more than the cocoa, because it is easy to keep chocolate chips on hand.
3 tablespoons butter or margarineIn small saucepan, combine butter, corn syrup and water; place over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to boil. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips until melted. Cool to room temperature.
Makes about 1 cup glaze
Cocoa Glaze
I'll make the cocoa glaze if I happen to have whipping cream for something else I'm baking.
1/2 cup whipping creamDirections:
In small saucepan, stir together whipping cream and corn syrup .In bowl, stir together cocoa and sugar; add to cream mixture, stirring well. Add butter. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until butter melts and mixture is smooth. DO NOT BOIL. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Cool to desired consistency.
Makes about 1 cup glaze.
