My selections on the San Mateo County, CA Ballot:

• President of the United States; Green Party: Cynthia McKinney, Green — I am registered Green because they’re the closest to my beliefs, which would actually be some weird mashup between Green and Libertarian. If I was a registered Democrat I’d vote Obama.
• Proposition 91 Transportation Funds: No. Absent a really compelling issue I tend to vote No on propositions. This isn’t it.
• Proposition 92 Community Colleges: No.
• Proposition 93 Limits on Legislators’ Terms in Office: No.
• Propositions 94/95/96/97 Amendments to Indian Gaming Compact: Yes. Sovereign nations. They want to have casinos on their lands, who are we to stop them?
• Measure I County Service Area Tax — San Mateo County Service Area #1: Yes. It’s an existing tax to provide public safety services.
• Measure J School Bond Measure — Sequoia Union High School District: No. My property taxes are outrageous enough already.
• Measure L School Bond Measure — San Mateo-Foster City School District: No. See previous.
• Measure M School Parcel Tax — Ravenswood City School District: No. See previous, and the Ravenswood district has been so mismanaged just in the six years we’ve lived here that I believe it should be abolished and folded in to whatever nearby district is appropriate.
