11:32 Happy Halloween! What’s your costume? I’m wearing my ToT shirt from last year. #

12:23 Milo just flushed the toilet. (Milo is a cat.) #

13:28 Soggy grapes. Ew. #

15:11 Even though it’s a short week, ready for it to be over. Sooo ready. #

18:38 Got a Yes-8 mailer targeted at Obama voters. Good luck with that. #

22:28 Zero ToTers, again. I guess that leaves all the MHT candy for us. #

09:54 Back at work after three days off. Lots of email to ignore catch up on. #

12:06 Anyone have a couple of AAA-size batteries? The ones for my noise-canceling headphones just died and the marketing dork is on a call again. #

15:06 Because they’re stupid. #

16:32 I wish it was snowing here. #

18:52 Watching the Obama thing. #

11:11 ALB is nice and very modern. With the exception of a notable shortage of AC outlets. #

14:24 Now boarding: SWA 891. Not full! Scored exit row even at A-29! Happy. #

16:38 At Chicago-Midway airport for a short stopover before continuing to SJC. Bumpy landing. Bawling child. #

16:39 TSA has snazzy new uniforms. #

17:03 Someone brought fried chicken on the plane. It smells good. #

21:31 Landed @ SJC. Not a bad flight at all. #

07:41 In-room coffee surprisingly not vile. #

14:21 Very small rocks? #

16:27 I don’t often use the word "hate". I feel it’s far too strong an expression for everyday use and the level of casual "hate" is too high. #

16:29 So while I don’t "hate" forced mingling at parties where I don’t know anyone but I have to be friendly, I really, really don’t like it. #

21:23 Amy P is having her baby! Congrats :D #

21:31 As a west-coaster it is slightly surreal watching SNL *actually* Live. #

09:54 Working from home, doing chores, packing. #

12:31 Today, we learn that just saying something is "critical" doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t. #

17:51 If I’m supposed to be getting on a plane in four hours, wouldn’t you think I would have started packing and done last minute shopping? #

17:51 Or would you instead be like the guy who thinks I work for him and think… #

17:52 "Let’s give Andrew a week’s worth of work to finish NOW." #

21:26 @ SJC. They have free wifi now! JetBlue 174 leaves at 10:15pm. #

21:47 On the plane. Full flight. #

08:13 Cats kept us awake much of the night. Where’s my coffee? #

09:27 Update on No.4: still a butthead. Anyone want a cat? We have a spare. #

09:58 Remember the coffee quiz? Here’s another answer: F. Start a new pot… of DECAF. In the "regular" carafe. #

11:19 If you have a problem and want my help, you have to give me the details. Merely repeating "There’s a problem!" over and over will not work. #

11:43 I’ve got Endo looking like I want, but very unhappy with it basically locking up while retrieving feeds. Suggestions? #

What are you doing November 4th?

I’m planning on voting before work this time and will do my best to focus and get work done during the day, though with MSNBC streaming on one of my displays. I’ll probably leave the office just a bit early so I can be home when the first polls close and I’ll have election results up on the big screen allll night.

If WHEN Obama wins, Prop. 8 is defeated and the Democrats gain super-majorities in the House and Senate, I’ll celebrate until I can’t stand up straight.

13:42 I was just "invited" to a "brown bag" meeting on Monday. That means I get to sit in a conf. room instead of going to lunch. #

13:42 I sense a 24-hour cold coming on. Probably be pretty bad by late Sunday night. #

13:43 Very little offends me more than the cavalier assumption that I’m willing to give up my lunch hour for another stupid status meeting. #

16:05 Banging on Endo. Frustrated. Can’t I do a standard three-pane layout? #

Conn. court overturns same-sex marriage ban

Conn. court overturns same-sex marriage ban:

Connecticut’s Supreme Court ruled Friday that same-sex couples have the right to marry, making that state the third behind Massachusetts and California to legalize such unions. The divided court ruled 4-3 that gay and lesbian couples cannot be denied the freedom to marry under the state constitution, and Connecticut’s civil unions law does not provide those couples with the same rights as heterosexual couples.

This makes me so happy I can’t adequately express it in words. Three down, 47 to go?
